Arthaland raises P3B via Asean Green Bonds

CEBU, Philippines — Boutique property developer Arthaland has committed to build more sustainable developments in Cebu, as it nearly completes its flagship residential project in Southern Philippines, Lucima at the Cebu Business Park (CBP).
“We are here to support Cebu’s growth,” said Arthaland vice chairman and president Jaime C. Gonzàlez yesterday during the ceremonial topping of Lucima.
While the company is actively looking for good location to expand its portfolio, Gonzàles emphasized that the company is managing its expansion move “in a very conservative way.”
Arthaland has already invested an estimated of P10 billion since its entry to Cebu’s real estate industry few years back through the high-rise commercial building “Cebu Exchange” and recently the Lucima project.
Arthaland Senior vice president Oliver L. Chan said Lucima is set to turn over residential units to owners by September 2024, along with the full completion of the multi-billion-peso residential project.
Located at the Cebu Business Park (CBP), the luxury certified green vertical village is now 80 percent sold, 15 months after it officially broke ground.
The 296-unit Lucima will be the first net zero certified building in the residential segment in the Philippines, announced Gonzàlez.
Developed in partnership with ARCH Capital, the 37-story Lucima joins Cebu’s growing luxury residential condominium portfolio.
Sustainability takes the forefront at Lucima, where residents embrace a greener lifestyle while enhancing the residents' comfort and convenience.
The condominium showcases an array of sustainable features that enhance energy and water efficiency, reducing environmental impact while benefiting its residents. These features include a Potager Garden that provides residents with fresh, organic, and nutritious produce at their doorstep; low-flow plumbing features that achieve a minimum of 20 percent savings in water consumption; and energy-efficient air-conditioning and lighting systems that can reduce electricity bills by up to 40 percent.
Likewise, wellness lies at the core of Lucima's design, ensuring residents experience the utmost comfort of a healthy living environment. The development's air-tight design curbs the transmission of dust, sound, and odor between spaces, promoting superior acoustic performance and indoor air quality.
Each unit also boasts of an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV), which enhances indoor air quality by bringing in fresh, filtered air while maintaining humidity for thermal comfort. The ERV is equipped with highly efficient air filters, effectively warding off harmful microbes and pathogens. Additionally, a Carbon Monoxide Monitor enhances residents' safety by constantly monitoring pollutant levels in indoor air.
Lucima is a community for accomplished individuals who have made their mark on the world. They have achieved great things, but they know that there is no better time than now to give back to the environment and their community.
Lucima provides a luxurious living space that supports a lifestyle of wellness, so that these individuals can live their best lives while making a difference, explained Chan.
“Lucima sets a new standard in sustainable and wellness living. By infusing these principles into our design and construction, we provide residents with a home that enhances their well-being while contributing to a greener future. We take pride in creating a lifestyle that surpasses expectations and upholds our commitment to sustainability,” Chan said.
Arthaland is the only real estate developer in the Philippines with a residential and commercial portfolio 100% certified as sustainable by local and global organizations for its focus on sustainability, wellness, high quality, and superior design.
