Arthaland Football Cup 2023 in Sevina Park: Promoting Sustainability Through Sports

ARTHALAND’s Sevina Park was bustling with excitement and youthful fervor at the recently concluded ARTHALAND FOOTBALL CUP 2023 organized in partnership with De La Salle University, South Luzon Football Club and The Medical City. More than three hundred kids within and outside Laguna took part in the tournament which saw team Arayat Football Club take top honors in the Under 13 category; Makati Football Club in the Under 11; South United Football Club in the Under 9; and South Luzon Football Club in the Under 7.

“Congratulations to all the winners and hats off to all the participants for getting into sports at such a young age. This event not only seeks to promote a healthy lifestyle, but sport can also be a powerful tool to raise awareness about protecting the environment and promoting sustainability,” said Oliver L. Chan, ARTHALAND Senior Vice-president.

ARTHALAND FOOTBALL CUP 2023 was not just about football, but it was a day full of fun times with the family, making new connections and supporting our local farmers. The De La Salle University football pitch, which forms part of the Sevina Park community, was transformed into a festive venue complete with many food carts and other activities. Farm-fresh, locally sourced produce was also available for sale courtesy of Rural Rising, a renowned social enterprise dedicated to empowering farmers, promoting fair trade and supporting communities in need. To ensure the safety of all the players and guests, 4 Emergency Medical Technicians from The Medical City were prepared to respond promptly. Sevina Park will soon have its own Health and Wellness Clinic in partnership with The Medical City that will provide residents with holistic health and wellness services.

The event gave a glimpse of what weekends will be like in Sevina Park.
