1) Areté

Located just across Ateneo’s Gate 3, and boasting a footbridge giving students direct access to its establishments, the Regis Center is an extremely convenient solo spot due to the multitude of facilities available there. Packed with restaurants, salons, a gym, and coffee shops, it’s a regular stop for university students within Katipunan.

For solo time, you can grab a drink while you work, do some light shopping, exercise, treat yourself to the various services on hand, or simply people-watch as others go about their day in Katipunan.

4) Openspace Katipunan

The UP Sunken Garden is a great location to do so, since the grass, fresh air, and acacia trees offer a peaceful environment for one to relax and calm down, even when the campus is active. When malls and cafes don’t offer the atmosphere one desires, this is where you can go for a walk without a destination, sit on the grass, listen to music, or just let your brain reset. The sunset here can also be a wonderful highlight to your day, especially if you come in the late afternoon.

Even in a busy, bustling place like Katipunan, sometimes you really need some time to yourself to recharge.
