Arya Residences, the first and only residential building in the country to receive dual certification comprising of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification from the US Green Building Council and the Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence (BERDE) 4-star certification by the Philippine Green Building Council, adds to its list of firsts by pioneering the use of Indoor Horizontal Cabling (IHC) that enables Fiber-To-The-Room (FTTR) technology through its partnership with Globe AT HOME. Globe’s GFiber Plan, powered by IHC and FTTR, delivers seamless high-speed internet connectivity to every corner of one’s home, ushering in a new standard of sustainable and intelligent living for digitally driven Filipinos.

Globe AT HOME’s new fiber solution launch marks a significant step towards a world where reliable and sustainable connectivity is seamlessly integrated into everyday life. IHC and FTTR Technology offer ultra-fast connection making streaming and video conferencing smoother than ever. Residents will surely appreciate the ultra-seamless coverage as they move from room to room without experiencing signal drops and they can say goodbye to lag times even while using multiple devices.

“As the country’s foremost green developer, Arthaland seeks to push the boundaries of innovation regarding sustainable living. Apart from providing Arya’s residents a faster and more seamless internet connection, this next-generation home WI-FI solution is more environment-friendly compared to the use of traditional copper wires,” said Oliver L. Chan, Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer of Arthaland.

A big plus is that fiber networks use significantly less energy, resulting in a smaller carbon footprint. Fiber optic cables also last much longer than copper cables, reducing the need for frequent replacements and the associated waste. They also require fewer raw materials, lessening the environmental impact of resource extraction and processing. And lastly, fiber networks need less infrastructure compared to copper, minimizing land disruption and habitat destruction.

Arya Residences exemplifies this commitment to sustainability by using an energy-efficient air-conditioning system and lighting, which reduce the building's carbon footprint and lower residents' utility costs. It has installed low-flow, water-efficient plumbing fixtures and has large operable windows that not only provide abundant natural light but also allow for cross-ventilation that further decreases the reliance on air conditioning. The towers’ north-to-south orientation limits heat absorption from the morning and afternoon sun and it is designed at an angle to naturally direct wind toward the units for better ventilation, reducing the need for artificial cooling methods.

ARTHALAND is the only real estate developer in the Philippines with a residential and commercial portfolio 100% certified as sustainable by local and global organizations. It has made its mark in the Philippine real estate industry by pioneering the development and management of exceptional best-in-class properties that adhere to international and local standards.
